Our Story: From the Fire to the Fabric

Bioculture was never meant to be “just” a brand. It was a vision sparked by the fire, literally—during a peyote ceremony in the desert.

But let’s back up.

Before the organic linen and cotton, the sovereign retreats, and the jungle mastermind circles… Bioculture started as an epiphany in the embers.

The founder, Dakota Mays (aka @maysyoga), was once a solo Yogi grinding in the content world—building a massive following across platforms, working with health brands, filming yoga flows, and reaching millions globally. Yet behind the scenes, he was still trading time for money. A beautiful path, but one that felt capped. The more he grew, the more isolated he felt.

Then came the retreat.

During a cathartic peyote ceremony, Dakota stared deep into the coals of a ceremonial fire—sifting through grief, trauma, shadows. The flames flickered, nearly dying, until a gust of wind breathed new life into them. In that moment, it hit him:

  • “The coals represented pure potential. The air was all it needed. WE are the coals. Our VOICE is the air.”

And just like that, the seed of Bioculture was planted.

What began as a few small retreats in Mexico evolved into a movement—rooted in sovereignty, vitality, collaboration, and wealth. And not the Wall Street kind of wealth.

We’re talking wealth of the spirit, wealth of the heart, wealth in your nervous system.
The kind of richness you can’t fake with filters or bank balances.

Quick rewind to August 2023, deep in the jungles of Costa Rica, when Christian Van Camp (holistic lifestyle & performance coach, @cvcwellness) met Dakota for the first time. Christian had been coaching 1-on-1 clients for years, specializing in detox, nutrition, and primal performance.

Like Dakota, he’d built a presence online with millions reached and 400+ clients coached since the COVID plandemic-era revealed the cracks in the system.

His path, too, was forged by personal healing, family hardship, and a deep passion for true wellness.

And, like all good stories, fate stepped in again.

A few months later, while on a mushroom trip, Christian thought of Dakota and spontaneously reached out. Next thing you know, he was moving to Sayulita, Mexico, renting a place two floors beneath him.

The synchronicity was undeniable. From jam sessions to organic Bioculture-coffee-fueled strategy risings to co-hosting Bioculture retreats together, it became clear:

This wasn’t just community—it was a calling.

Then came Jeremy Blossom—a serial entrepreneur, investor, and marketing OG who had scaled countless brands and moved mountains in the business world.

After meeting the duo at that same Costa Rica retreat, Jeremy felt the magnetic pull of purpose. He later joined forces to bring structure, strategy, and serious momentum to the Bioculture mission.

The team grew:

  • Sedona Holzinger, co-founder and feminine force of nature, weaving beauty, flow, and leadership into every retreat
  • Timothy Voin, a gifted bodyworker grounding people back into their bodies
  • And DOZENS of aligned collaborators, conscious creators, and coaches contributing their gifts

Together, we’ve now hosted dozens and counting—guiding souls to remember who they are, detox their lives, and live fully outside the synthetic systems.

But Bioculture isn’t just about healing retreats or juicy workshops under jungle canopies.
It’s about creating tangible, long-lasting tools and products that bring sovereignty back into everyday life.

That’s why we created the Bioculture Clothing Line:

  • 100% organic linen shirts and cotton hats—designed for people who are done wrapping their bodies in plastic.
  • We’re talking no polyester, no petroleum-based fabrics, no forever chemicals.
  • Just high-vibe threads that breathe with you, protect your hormones, and look damn good doing it.

This isn’t a trend. It’s a response. To Big Food, Big Pharma, Big Plastic, and the low-frequency matrix that’s hijacked wellness and sold it back in disposable wrappers.

Bioculture exists to counter the synthetic sickness—and remind people of their roots.

We’re not here to follow the rules. We’re here to write a new story—in community, in style, and in alignment with nature.

And it’s only just beginning...
